A Healing Sanctuary for Survivors: Join Us in Growing the Bloom Room!
At Paint Your Power, we believe in the transformative magic of art and community. Together, we can heal wounds that words often cannot reach. This September, we’re unveiling something truly special — the Bloom Room. It’s a free to the public, immersive healing experience created for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trauma.
The Bloom Room is a sanctuary of light, color, and connection. It’s a place where survivors can plant seeds of hope, affirm their worth, and find strength in shared stories. This installation will be filled with art, poetry, music, and interactive spaces designed to nourish the soul and celebrate resilience.
What is the Bloom Room?
Imagine walking through a garden of blooming flowers. Each petal glows with survivor stories and affirmations. A large birdcage stands at the center, housing the powerful words of Maya Angelou, inviting reflection and freedom. Mirrors along the path encourage visitors to see their true beauty through affirmations.
There’s a seed planting station where survivors and allies can plant new life, symbolizing growth and renewal. Art booths offer a space for creative expression and connection. The experience culminates in a joyful gathering with uplifting music and shared art-making — a true celebration of power reclaimed!
Why We Need Your Support
Creating this immersive experience requires resources. Fresh flowers, plants, art supplies, lighting, sound equipment, and more are essential. To make the Bloom Room a reality, we are seeking donations of flowers, plants, art materials, and financial sponsors who believe in the power of healing through art.
Your support will help us:
Bring the Bloom Room to life with fresh, vibrant blooms.
Provide art supplies for survivors to express themselves.
Cover volunteer, setup, and technical costs.
Create lasting impact for survivors in our community.
Support us in taking this experience to Crystal Bridges for the NWA Centers for Sexual Assault "Unbroken" ceremony.
